[The connection opened on a very nice and once elegant looking office. It was now an office split roughly in half, though not down a straight line. Parts of the office were still
very Auradon. The wooden desk remained, though no longer centered, as it shared the space with a
more colorful one that now sat beside it.
The chair behind each desk clearly matched the desk... and the person the desk clearly went with.]
[The walls were still the same, but the curtains were now closed and were a design in dark purple and dark blue. not much else of the room could be seen from the angle, which seemed to be a phone propped on something, perhaps the globe?]
[Mal was sitting on Ben's desk, with her feet up on hers, hands behind her, leaning back as she looked up at Ben who had his back to the camera. They didn't seem to be aware that they were being broadcast, and the broadcast seemed to pick up mid-conversation.]
"...you for?"
"Apparently he's updated the FAQ welcome sheet. I told him we'd get them printed up and put out today."
"That's good, though new arrivals seems to have slowed on the Auradon side. We'll have to check with the Isle side."
"Now that Ian has the network, well, working, we can."
[She snorted.] "Working." [She said, with air quotes.] "Whatever, they'll figure it out, but actually it gave me an idea."
"Yeah?" [Ben asked moving to sit on her desk near her feet.]
"Yeah," [she said, moving her booted feet into his lap.] "We've been running on full for a while now. First we were all kids, then we started on clearing another path like... the next day. Before we finished we all wound up in that weird dream coma thing. But now we have the network set up again, or will be soon. That sounds to me like an excuse for a dance party."
"Is there anything that doesn't?" [he asked, chuckling.]
[She grabbed a pen off his desk and tossed it at him.]"Anyway. I was thinking a masquerade ball. I may have been working on a costuming spell."
"We have a lot of really talented people here, Mal. We don't need magic. Not for that."
"In Auradon, maybe. But what about the Isle?"
"Wait, I'm confused. You want to have the party... on the Isle?"
"I want two parties at the same time. We can use the TV network to pump the music to the Isle. Let the people who can make costumes make them for the people stuck on the Isle if they want. But between that and putting together more crucial supplies for the Isle... If people don't have time to make costumes for those of us who will be dancing the night away in Auradon... Magic."
"It... has potential, but I do think we could do it all manually."
[She shrugged.] "Then how about anyone who can either make it or commission someone who can, they are welcome to. But anyone who can't or doesn't want to after all the work of getting ready for the Isle visit, they'll have my spell available if they want it?"
[He shook his head.] "Fine. You win. I give. We should write up an announcement or something, let people know."
[Mal hopped swung her feet down and hopped off the desk.] "I'll grab my phone so we can use it to make notes for what we want to say." [She walked closer to the camera until she filled the frame.]
"Good idea." [Ben got up as well.] "I'll see if Mallia is up to making us some coffees, and see if Sylvando is available, he'll want to help us write up the announcement. This is going to take a while."
[Mal frowned at the camera, then moved it to a more flattering angle and looked at Ben.] "Actually... I don't think deciding how to announce it will take that long. I think we're good. Well... done. Good may be going a bit far for some of us."
[Ben frowned and turned to face her. The new angle put him back in frame.] "I'm not sure I follow..." [he admitted.]
[Mal turned the camera to face just him. ] "Say hello to Auradon, Ben," [she said impishly from out of frame now. She didn't know it had also gone out to the Isle however. The question is... would someone inform her of that?]
"Ah, hello. How much of that did you all hear, exactly...?"
